Jesse is most known for his role on the television hit series, Desperate Housewives. On this show, he portrayed the character John Rowland, and this earned him recognition not only in the TV world, but also among actors and directors alike. Because of his huge success and popularity on this show he was cast as John Tucker in the movie John Tucker Must Die. The reason for this is namely because of his good looks and popularity with women. Women identify in him a character of the good looking bad boy who ends up breaking everybodys’ hearts. For this reason, women tend to like him but also dislike him at the same time, making him a perfect character for the role.

He is less known for his role in the soap opera Passions, where he played Miguel Lopez Fitzgerald, but soap lovers might remember him as having a certain “it” factor when on the camera. Jesse has always been complimented on his good looks and his natural easy going nature. He is well respected among the artist community as an actor who is both good at what he does, and also fun to be around.

In 2008, Jesse Metcalf played Jack in the horror movie “Insanitariam.” The film itself received mixed reviews and was only released on a limited basis and was released to DVD in the summer of 2008. After “Insanitariam,” Metcalfe played Granger Woodruff in the movie “The Other End of the Line”. This movie was based off of an Indian call-center employee. This employee later travels to California to meet the man she fell in love with over the phone at her job. This film never released in major theaters but did release to DVD .

In 2009, Metcalfe starred with Michael Douglas in the remake of the 1956 film “Beyond a Reasonable Doubt.” This film was released in September of 2009 but unfortunately suffered a great deal of negative reviews. Currently, Metcalfe is starring in the horror film titled “The Tortured” which was set to be released in 2009 but has since been pushed back to an unspecified 2010 date.

Most of the ladies would know Jesse from the TV series Desperate Housewives which has been a hit on the box for nearly six seasons now. His character started out as the hired help at one of the ladies houses who would so the lawns, the clippings and then the wife. The affair went on for quite a while until she put a stop to the relationship finally admitting that she loved her husband. For Jesse’s character John there was nothing to do but to pine over her from a distance and try to get her to admit that she still loved him. Jesse was also a star character on the TV series Smallville which has been around for eight years and is also one that has several other major stars.

In 1999 Jesse started out his career at the ripe acting age of twenty in a movie called 44 minutes where he played a uniformed policeman. This movie did not make it to the big screen however it was one of the many movies that were now being designed to go straight to TV. Later in 2003 he plays the part of John Tucker in the hilarious and sexist movie called John Tucker Must Die which is about all the women that Jesse’s character dates and uses who all get together to get back at him. Three years later the movie Loaded came out which was another lead role for Jesse. The lead roles continued to flow for the next few years when Jesse was offered a role in Insanitarium. The lead character Jack is someone that Jesse suited well to play which is why the movie was a success.
